Over the past few weeks I’ve come to realise that I don’t enjoy blogging as much as I used to. What with a new job, demanding teenage children and living in a home that reminds me of The Money Pit I seem to have little time for the good things. I live to work.
Yes, I like writing about leadership, project management, and business change topics. However, there’s only so much I can write about on these subjects. I need to broaden my horizons.
Live to Work
More importantly I want to get my life balance right. I want to spend my time doing the things I enjoy. To spend more time with the people I love. I aim to change from someone who lives to work to someone who works to live!
So what does this mean for blogging? And how will Martin Webster, Esq. change?
Work to Live
First, I’m going to write more about me. About getting my life balance right. In doing this I hope to connect with people. I want to share what I learn whether that relates to my work or my personal life.
Second, I’m going to revamp Martin Webster, Esq. This means changing the pages, categories and other items to reflect the new direction I’m taking. This also means a new look and feel and a departure from WordPress.com.
These changes will start happening over the next few weeks.
Martin Webster, Esq. [Leadership Thoughts] will be about me. It’ll be about my successes and failures and will focus more on my life and what I enjoy. In so doing I hope to connect with people on the other side of the screen.
